The difference for me is in the approach and application. Brown didn’t have a great game today but it wasn’t a lack of effort. For Watson to pull up and allow the guy to come 20m in, felt like he’d just given up, probably worried if he gives 100% he’ll end up hurting himself.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 7:51 pmSlightly odd there's so much moaning about a player after such a great win (not just from you). He was the better of our two wingers for starters.
Anyway, im generally a happy clapper, so I’ll go back to that. Great, unexpected win.

Didn’t watch any of it but that’s a great win!

I'm already a fan of Shillcock btw. Solid player, and a very good acquisition.

Got to give him some time.

Surely Watson was covering the outside man, with Atkinson supposed to be getting the ball carrier?
Or are we talking about something completely different?!

Am I right in saying none of the back substitutions came on?
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

He's been a great signing. One missed kick to touch from a penalty was about his only error. Mixed the attack well. Kept his cool under pressure. His goal kicking is a serious boost to us as well.

Brilliant win - full credit to the whole squad - players, coaches and medics. Going to make our trip to La Rochelle really really interesting. Are the 2 French sides in our league going to give up on the CP and concentrate on the top 14?? Do I care? NOOOOOOO. just love the win and am going for a drinkiepoo in one minute.
Hehehehehehehehe

If so I suspect the late changes and tightness of the game meant McKellar wanted consistency (hence why with Shillcock having practiced and run at 10 all week he stayed there rather than switch with Atkinson)TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 8:11 pm Am I right in saying none of the back substitutions came on?

I didn't see any. Two of the three were last minute additions to the bench and Whiteley didn't look like he was tiring either so perhaps McKellar just didn't feel the need to change things.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 8:11 pm Am I right in saying none of the back substitutions came on?
He added the forwards at the right time as there was a point where the forwards looked like they were flagging.

Absolulement! He seems very steady in all depts. There was one quite long penalty kick he nailed...sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 8:11 pmHe's been a great signing.
