Got a bit squeaky, in true Saints fashion, but a great result for them.

So top 3 all lost, IF we win tommorow we're 8 off top and 6 points off 4th, 7 & 5 if we get a TBP.

So TBP win and we are well in the race both for top 4 and top 2
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Massive win for London Scottish over Ealing. Try at the death to steal it.

Nice one, Saints - that’s the weekend’s shock result out of the way. Back to the form book tomorrow 🤞

I thought the Quins result was a shock too.

Still, I hope you're right about tomorrow. Will the weather play a significant role?

I know I can expect some hammer for this......I have even seen him in person at Welford Road...but....how big is Courtenay Lawes ??? He is HUGE ! I always thought he was a big guy, just like Itoje et al....but he makes Itoje look like an average sized bloke. He is massive. I'm not sure why this has impacted me in this way, he is just loads of feet and inches. I think I should maybe just keep this epiphany to myself.

Funnily enough I said exactly the same today to my son in law! There was one shot in particular that emphasised the size difference between him and Itoje!

Lawes definitely taller (5 cm - 2 inches give or take in following stats) but depending on how much more massive you thought, it could just be camera perspective, RWC23 player stats used as recent benchmark:

https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/teams

Lawes: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/34184 2.0m 119 Kg

Itoje: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/50344 1.95m 115 Kg

Additional comparison - Ollie Chessum https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/72931 2.01m 118Kg

But when you compare to other, say the Boks, 2nd row options:

RG Snyman: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/55747 2.06m and 117Kg (though I see him listed heavier elsewhere - up to 131Kg)

Etzebeth: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/43559 2.04m 118 Kg

Kleyn: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/67415 2.03m 121Kg

Not including Lood De Jager - another big guy for SA.

Then various others.

Retallick: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/43512 2.04m 120 Kg

Richie Gray: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/34128 2.07m 126 Kg

Arnold: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... 8ff8a43dfc 2.08m 127 Kg

Skelton: https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/team ... ayer/43181 2.03m 140 Kg

Big units. Links all for fun.

Martin Bayfield also tall, as shown here with Second and Dobby:
