The rest of the team looks good. Steward against Lynagh will be great when we have the ball, but far less so if Lynagh has space. Esterhuizen coming on later on the game could be big for the Queens. We've cerrtainly got the best of the back row though.
According to the write up Van Wyk and Cronin are rotating. IMO Van Wyk is getting some bad press and hasn’t let the side down this season.
Good point re Esterhuizen though he is going to be rusty as hasn’t played for a month plus and we’ve got Scott to counter
I think Whitcombe is better that Van Wyk so its disappointing to see he's slipped down the pecking order
Completely agree.

IMHO van Wyk does not have the scrummaging ability of Cronin or Whitcombe. He might maybe offer more in the loose, but I hate it when a Tigers pack goes backwards - this should never happen!

Would have preferred to see Shillcock over Brown but no complaints about his inclusion.
I don't think it's a case of Clare over Dolly this week. There's no way Vanes plays in a development team as a starter midweek if it's planned
Could it be that Montoya is finally getting his knee fixed, and Dolly is ill?

Definitely think it likely Dolly was the one meant to be playing tomorrow. I'm guessing a late injury or illness.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

it has been this season though which was more of my point, its easy to forget Dolly was in the England discussion pre injury, he's just a better player than Charlie IMO

As the only non Northamptonshire side we upset a few by coming away with the trophy. In our squad was a certain English tight head
I'm not surprised they were upset if you entered an U16s side into an U10s competition :smt038

Pollard likes the crossfield kick so I expect Freddie to be busy, hope his catching is good tomorrow, I expect this tactic to be our primary source of points. ps I hope Quins not reading this.

Very good. 10 is the number of players per side. A very under used format imo

I think the suggestion that there may be a bug going round the squad could be accurate. Certainly Dolly was pictured at captains run and could explain some selections.

We have had a chest infection in the family and there is a gastric bug doing the rounds

Cracknell will be HIA & potentially Shillcock.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Yes I too think there must be some illness in the squad or is it just bad luck with injuries again?
Shillcock and Cracknell had bad knocks last week.
It will be great when at last we have more players fit to choose from.
OHC, Heyes, Wells, Hatherell, Dolly, Porter and JVP all very good players who would most likely be in the match day squad.
Our problem will be players gelling!
Quins also have Launchbury who always plays exceptionally well against us!

Launchbury's main strength is maul defence. No wonder he has a good time against us. He's not a particularly good jumper though which is probably why they've got Lamb on the blindside (he's a big lump). Hopefully we can get after their lineout and our backrow make their three locks work hard around the pitch.

I wouldn't be surprised for him to "share the load" with Brown depending on the situation (attack / defence, field position etc). For me it would be unlikely for them to stick whileheartedly to their fixed /standard positions.
