TBH - Coley and Marler are both used to going 80 for us and Quins. Personally, I'd have left them on longer

Yep, should have moved Martin to the BR when they brought Chessum on.

Oh well. England played well. Did better that everyone thought they would before the tournament.

One bad kick all night amongst several superb ones in frankly awful conditions. You could point the finger at so, so many.aspects of the game tonight rubbish from an international [fill in number] on both sides!

Hopefully we never see sinkler or Billy anywhere near an England shirt ever again. They both looked disinterested and bored when they came on.

Pollard was superb, we’re so lucky to have one of the best fly halves in the world at Leicester.

At least we know we have one of the best Pollard coming back to the Tigers, just a cool and clinical head!!

Absolutely this.

Englands game to lose at 75 mins and we managed to do just that.

As I have said many times I hate the kicking game but I have to say that tactic was working very well tonight but our downfall was the change of props and the penalties they gave away. We had such a chance tonight but sadly they cost us.

SB will keep his mates close, he loves Bill and Sink, both shocking and shabby tonight, least big Dan C has vindicated his WC final, it’s all on Genge and Sinks tonight!!!

Two big changes changed the game

1. Replacing Marler/Cole with Genge/Sinckler sadly.

2. Pollard coming on.

A few positives.

Martin and Earl have launched themselves as future first England XV starters.

Steward has answered why he is the nailed on 15.

Alex Mitchell’s best game in an England shirt - his kicking was spot on.

How do you replace Courtney Lawes?

England lost but they answered many critics and can leave with their heads held high. There is no shame in losing by 1 point against the World Champs in a semi final when England were the better team for large parts.

Farrell cost us that game by not keeping his cool. Contrast Pollard who won SA the game by keeping his.

England have not answered any critics that’s the problem, we gave up a winning position against a 20% SA team. Embarrassing people think this, happy clap crew!!

I'm a bit conflicted on that one. At half time I'd have agreed. He was pretty petulant. Overall I think his passion bridged some of the gulf in class. England players should be proud of their heart and effort, I think Farrell's leadership played a big part in that. I was a detractor before that game, but have a lot of admiration for him now.

Yeah, can you imagine what last weeks France or last nights NZ would’ve done to tonight’s SA team?!
