Means losing another 2 teams from one league or another which none will be keen on.

Twenty teams in five pools of four with best three runners up going into the final eight. Two worst runners up drop into the second tier comp.

If I've read correctly, if this was in place last year there would be no Welsh or Italian representative in the Champions Cup but all 4 Irish provinces.

Always a tricky one that. Will certainly make Champions Cup stronger but obviously takes Welsh & Italian interest out of the competition.
