Give them another go and it probably would happen - Portugal were much the better team against Oz. Leaked 21 points when they went down to 14 and fluffed chances for 4 or 5 tries.

As much as I take some glee from Australia being knocked out, I would be happy if Mr Jones stayed there a long while to avoid us having yet another change in our Head Coach. I guess this is unlikely for the next couple of years, but even so...

Everything points to him staying for now. But they havnt left Europe or landed in Oz yet so that's when the fireworks will start

Anyone notice that Portugal's defence is based on proper tackling, i.e. round the legs. None of this upright stuff that's both dangerous and ineffective. Other nations take note.
