If we win our remaining games we’re through.

Yes but with very little chance of a home Euro knockout we really want a home PRC semifinal.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

3 five point wins should be enough although it is very tight. Will be interesting to see if Ealing can maintain their position at the top of their pool, their next game is Cambridge away which you would expect them to win.
Providing we get a tbp win this afternoon we will lead our group on points difference
Next week the other 2 pool leaders Gloucester and Exeter have Hartbury and London Scottish respectively so would expect 5 point wins for both

Feel a bit of a one sided contest here tbh
I think you enjoy the game more if you don't know the rules. Anyway, you're on the same wavelength as the referees.

well according to the BBC match report Vanes was playing scrum half and Edwards Hooker, good to see the positional flexibility in the young lads

Tigers in control throughout. Ilione and Woodward both looked classy. Rogerson and Hatherall the physical workhorses we want them to be. Scrum was dominant and Dolly good in the loose.
Overall pretty positive. Some of the play was a bit loose and the second row pairing looked a touch raw but it's not exactly a settled side and our lineout worked.
Liked how we played with more width in attack. Asked a lot more questions then we have in recent years.

I have to say, I was a little nervous when looking at the inexperience of the Tigers side. They did excellently to get the win they did. More ball in hand, less kicking. I do wonder, however, if they will be a bit more pragmatic against better sides.
That said, I cannot wait for Premiership games against Saints et al and a proper full stadium. Also, I think that the quicker/more adventurous the play the more the crowd will get behind the team.

Me too, I must admit. We’ve seen junior teams get turned over by decent championship outfits but by the sound of it, I had nothing to worry about. The backrow gave me some comfort, mind.longlivethecrumbie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 9:51 pm I have to say, I was a little nervous when looking at the inexperience of the Tigers side. Looking forward to catching up when PRTV finally upload it…

From reading Mckellars interview I would expect a much more experienced side moving forward to the Bristol game.
Where do posters, who have seen the games think the selection will go.
Starting loose head if Cronin unavailable?
Has Dolly done enough to start ahead of Claire?
Does he stick with Ilione at 7?
Who plays at 8?
Who’s at 13 to partner Kelly?
Who’s at 15 ?
From what I’ve seen/heard/read, I would go something like.
Cronin
Dolly
Heyes
Henderson
Wells
Liebenberg
Ilione
Hatherall
Powell
Atkinson
OHC
Kelly
Porter
Bassett
Shilcock
Claire, Whitcombe, Hurd, Carter, Rogerson, Whitely, Brown, Cocanasinga

For the Bristol game currently based purely on preseason I would go with
1. Cronin
2. Dolly
3. Heyes
4. Henderson
5. Williams
6. Liebenberg
7. Ilione
8. Rogerson
9. Powell
10. Shillcock
11. OHC
12. Kelly
13. Cokanasiga
14. Bassett
15. Brown
16. Clare
17. Whitcombe
18. Hurd
19. Carnduff
20. Hatherell
21. Whiteley
22. Atkinson
23. Porter
Would be tempted to go with Shillcock @15, Atkinson @10 and have Simmons on the bench
