That was so unexpected. I had no idea despite watching him week in and week out. Tough to hear that he really didn't like Rugby.

Quite a difficult listen but great to hear he is in the process of putting his demons to one side and enjoying life with his family. I'm pleased that the club kept it all private and it is Sam's right to bring it out in the open now he feels comfortable to do so. Always one of my favourite players often overlooked but always put in a good shift when he was on the pitch.

Scoring 2 tries off the back of driving mauls and converting the winning try too.

Sam talking about his alcoholism, something he began at Tigers where hard drinking was the culture it seems.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Hope he sticks it out. Good luck to him, and his wife and children may they all come through unscathed.
