This article on the BBC gives more details, so hopefully we will see a return to Championship Rugby at Worcester under a three W's name Worcester & Wasps Warriors!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 6:57 pm All I've seen is that Wasps majority shareholders has now bought out Atlas who own Worcester Warriors...

Re: Worcester’s woes
This would seem so unfair if Wasps re-emerged unscathed with a better ground than they have ever had. Still, a certain ex Wasp and TV pundit has been treated very leniently by the Inland revenue so, all of a piece I suppose.wormus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 9:14 pmThis article on the BBC gives more details, so hopefully we will see a return to Championship Rugby at Worcester under a three W's name Worcester & Wasps Warriors!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 6:57 pm All I've seen is that Wasps majority shareholders has now bought out Atlas who own Worcester Warriors...

PS, Ken Dodd said that the Inland Revenue didn't apply to him because he lived at the seaside.

The brands new name could be Ichneumonidae..................a species of parasitic wasp that lands on it's host, sucks the guts out of it then flies off to find a new host to do the same again.wormus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 9:14 pmThis article on the BBC gives more details, so hopefully we will see a return to Championship Rugby at Worcester under a three W's name Worcester & Wasps Warriors!TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Mon Sep 18, 2023 6:57 pm All I've seen is that Wasps majority shareholders has now bought out Atlas who own Worcester Warriors...

It's business innit? It's all about land, in the end, like political economics. In this case prime land at Sixways.

A big smelly mess. When is a deadline not a deadline? I thought Atlas were a busted flush. Are they the Stourbridge promoters or the Wasp wannabes, I'm confused?

I do hope someone is looking to check that the administrators did the best possible job for the creditors of Worcester Warriors, maybe need to ask just how good was Steve Diamonds proposal.
Re: Worcester’s woes
The whole situations appears to be now about getting a newly formed, debt free Wasps playing at Sixways whatever it takes.

Re: Worcester’s woes
If Holland needs extra time to find £1million to buy the club, how can he find the money to clear the rugby debts, fund a squad of players/coaches/backroom staff and pass the "RFU due diligence" test?
