Re: Womens Team
Couple of bits of good news
Firstly, Breedon have extended their partnership to include the women's team:
https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/br ... to-tigersw
Secondly, the club have announced a new performance partnership with Kenilworth RFC:
https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/ti ... lworth-rfc
Kenilworth have only had a women's team since 2015, but quickly worked their way up to the 2nd tier. We faced Kenilworth twice in the league last season, and with Lichfield still currently in the 3rd tier, it looks like Kenilworth will be where many of our squad will find gametime away from the Prem.

Re: Womens Team
Fixtures are out!
We start in the Allianz Cup, which will cover the period of the season where many internationals are away playing in the new WXV competitions, similar to the Prem Cup for the men. It should give us a chance to bed in a bit ahead of the league.
Two pools of 5. Four pool stage matches, and then everyone gets placement matches in the latter stages.
R1 – Saturday, September 23 (2pm) – Away vs Sale Sharks
R2 – Saturday, September 30 (12pm)– Home vs Warriors Women @ Oval Park (Free entry/No onsite Parking)
R3 – Saturday, October 14 (1pm) - Away vs Bristol Bears
R4 – Bye week
R5 – Saturday, October 28 (2pm) – Home vs Exeter Chiefs @ Welford Road (Included in season ticket)
No exact day/times yet, but our first premiership match is the weekend of 17-19 of November, at home to Exeter. Fixtures are pretty consistent right through to early March, when there is a break for the Women's Six Nations. At some point in that break will be the latter stages of the Allianz Cup, and then the conclusion of the Premiership from the weekend of May 10-12, with the final on June 22nd.
R1- November 17-19 - Home vs Exeter Chiefs
R2 - November 24-26 - Away vs Gloucester-Hartpury
R3 - December 1-3 - Home vs Loughborough Lightning (Double header with men's team vs Newcastle)
All home games will be at Welford Road.
Apparently the men's fixture against Newcastle is being rescheduled for the afternoon of Saturday 2nd, but not confirmed by the club yet.
Really tough start to the league against the 22/23 runner-up and champions. We will need to adapt quickly to give a decent account of ourselves.

I think I'll put together a new megathread for the season.

I recommend reading this from the club about the development of the former Oadby Town FC site for our Women's team

Have twice tried printing the Women's Fixtures and both times the Left Hand side is blank after September except for the PWR logo on the extreme left.

Molly Sanghera announced as continuing as Head of Women and Girls’ Rugby at Lichfield, and playing for them too.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 9:42 pmLottie has had an injury which held up her progress, she's family on the wife's side.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 8:06 pm Couple of names in the squad that haven't had any form of announcement.
Linzi Taylor, a pretty experienced centre from DMP
Lottie Bozon, back three from Lichfield. She trialed for us a couple of years ago when we were setting up, and appears to now be a community coach for us.
Just two not retained from last year's squad, Molly Sanghera and Georgia Bradley. Surprised by the latter, unless she's gone back to Lightning.
