From the telegraph

The England captain has received a six-match ban, reduced to four on mitigation due to “the player’s acceptance of foul play, clear demonstration of remorse and his good character”

Not sure I agree with that

4 week ban seems OK to me, but if he himself accepted it was foul play how did he get away with it at the first hearing? I didn't see much remorse either...

Makes you wonder what a players record has to be before they do get a serious ban.

Thought he couldn’t use mitigation as he’s been banned for this offence before, I thought he had to do the full suspension. Or maybe I’m mixed up ,it happens :smt003

You can't get full 50% mitigation if you have previous...

Not a Farrell fan but I just can't understand how an organisation can be permitted to appeal its own adjudication.

It's one thing to overule a decision by a national panel but not your own!

Technically, the original panel was a Six Nations panel, as they are running the warm up series. So WR were challenging them.

So, BV hasn’t had as many red cards so may get a shorter ban. But he’s not the England captain either, so may get a longer one. Take your pick!
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

I find it really bizarre that a Six Nations panel is made up of Australians

Exactly!!

Reduced because of "good character" and "remorse"... hahahahahahahahaha

How many times has he done purposely exactly the same thing? Just incredable.
