He's definitely there.

I see he's there (photographed what look likes sitting in the back) but not in any of the videos of backs training. Hoping he's not injured.

Got to say with the Van Poortvliet injury the signing of Powell looks an even smarter move right now.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Well plenty of experience there. DM must think we need that cover for the next couple of months. It would be interesting to know his thoughts about the squad after working with them for a few weeks.

Quality appointment that... hopefully means a couple of announcements soon!

Fantastic appointment. Should keep some continuity too! 🙌🏻

I can only live in hope for more announcements.

On a side note, is anyone going to the open session tomorrow?

He was the first player pictured on the training pitch in the new training kit back in July.

And if you need video as well, he's seen in one published a few days ago.

Yep never said he wasn't the first one pictured, just hadn't been seen since that first week. Saw that he was in the videos yesterday which is great news. Must have got over whatever injury was keeping him out before :smt023

Or just hiding from Bondi / Matilda who knows 😂

Looks like Elliot Gourlay is in one of the videos from Gresham too - be interested if that’s a trial or senior / academy signing. Could be a smart Potter/Porter esq signing from Sale.

Five appearances (four starts) and two tries last season for Gourlay. Only one game in the Prem though. Versatile player. Might well be worth a punt. We've done well off of international age group players not rated by Sale previously (Dolly and Kelly).

Similar to Potter before he came (limited apps in Super rugby/ their next step, a lot of promise shown in Shute shield).
Versatile player as you say Sam, knows Dolly, Kieran Wilkinson, maybe Kelly and others well. Seems smart if you ask me. 😊 chance to learn off and work with Bassett, OHC, Kata, Porter, Brown, Shillcock etc. why not!!

Blimey leaving NZ to come to England. I nearly went the other way a few years ago.
