2023 / 2024 Season Predictions

How do you think the league will finish this season, Saracens will be in the mix, Saints will be up there, Tigers will definitely be in the top four, Bath are the team that could surprise everyone and also finish in the top four, thoughts?

I am anticipating Tigers will be in 3rd or 4th. Saints will finish below us in 4th or 5th. On paper, we have a stronger team. In both cases the big unknown is how long it will take new coaches to bed in, so this might be wildly inaccurate.

I think there will be a battle for the top 5, and a battle for 8th, 9th, 10th.

Think Bath will be strong outside of international windows and Quins strong in the windows. Gloucester will struggle with a lack of squad depth and Newcastle could surprise a few. Maybe not consistently, but they’ll get a few wins that make people think!

If it were to go as above, Sarries will have Sale in the Semi. Tigers can have Quins and it’ll be a Tigers vs Sarries Final. Who knows in the final!

I’m quietly quite optimistic!

I think Sarries will be top, they have recruited annoyingly well, Tom Willis, West, Parton, plus they will have McFarland back from long term injury. We will be in the fight for the top 4 with Sale and Quins.
Bottom end, there isn’t really a middle anymore, I have a feeling it’s going to be a tough season for Exeter

I'll put Sale at the top they, too, have recruited well, Tigers, Sarries and A.N.Other for the top four. As for the rest I find it very difficult to predict with teams like Bristol up one season and down the next. The RWC and all the changes in playing and coaching staff add to the difficulty. I think there will be some surprises.

Completely agree with you. Sarries will be hard to beat this year again.

Being a "champion" attracts better players... but let's not get into that topic again ;)

I think the Rugby World Cup and just when players are fit to return will have a big say in final.league positions. P!ayer fatigue towards the end of the season will also be a factor so management of the players, squad rotation and depth will decide eventual outcome.
Optimism and bias and possibly clouded logic means I put Tigers to finish top.
Saracens to finish 2nd. Bath 3rd with Gloucester 4th then Sale, Saints, Quins, Bristol, Newastle and Exeter.

Sale & Sarries top two. I would have us in there but for the new coaching set up and players away for the World Cup affecting the team getting settled to new game plans. Saints an us making up the top 4.

Newcastle have lost too many players to finish above anyone. Making up a bottom 4 with Bath, Bristol and Glaws.

I think it’ll be Sarries and Sale top 2 again, I think we’ll be top 4. Not sure about the rest.
