Englands passing has either been world class or dreadful
Re: U20's 6 Nations
Englands u20's here have done what they did in the last round played well then went bonkers with poor choices, giving away penalties, running up blind alleys and bad tackling

That first half did seem a little too good to be true

Re: U20's 6 Nations
My YouTube stream died on me a couple of times.
Yellow card killed England. I'd have liked to see the TMO review it and see if the French player was actually bound when the spun off, looked very much like the shoulders were detached.
Lewis Chessum really was immense. Covered a lot of ground and did all of the set piece work we needed him to. McKellar will have been watching that and rubbing his hands together. Finding locks that size, that mobile and with that mindset is very difficult.

I agree — I thought Chessum was superb today. It’ll interesting to see how he copes stepping up to Senior level. Tuilagi however didn’t live up to the hype— looked like a penalty machine and lazy/not fit however we must remember he is only 18.
The Irish 8 Gleeson meanwhile looks the real deal

Tuilagi made a big impact at times but you're right he made some naive errors at others. As he's only at 18 you'd hope he'd be a diamond that could be polished up over time.mightymouse wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 10:21 pm I agree — I thought Chessum was superb today. I'm sure the Leinster school system will throw out another couple of quality players though I was pretty disappointed in the much hyped Pendergast when England played Ireland in the group stages though it was only one game.

What was you guys opinion on the England full backs tackling that game?

Re: U20's 6 Nations
I haven’t watched the whole game but from what I’ve seen of him in the past he reminds me of Ian Balshaw, good going forward but not so good defensively.
TBH not a vintage year for u20s, though it’s a young squad, and if they end up 3rd in the tournament I’d say that’s a very good result.
Would be surprised if more than 3 or 4 of them go on to be premiership regulars

Considering the very mixed results for the last couple of years, a top four placing is a decent result for these boys.

Chessum, Cunningham South, and the starting Tight head will be Prem players

Re: U20's 6 Nations
Englands Woodward at 12 in South Africa is Clive not Jason (former Glos full-back) I think you’ll find!

Ridiculous, next you’ll be telling me it’s not (Kyran) Bracken at 9 & (Jez) Harris at 15 kicking the goals!
