Ewels what a joke
Surely when Hill(J), Itoje & Isiekwe become available to Borthwick he is likely to disappear from the squad
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Isiekwe seems to be seen more as a 6 now.
Ewels spent time down in South Africa with the Bulls and is recovering from injury.
In the latest England video Borthwick is seen doing one on one drills with him, so he maybe sees something others don’t

Ewels has recovered from injury and was in SA to get game time.

He's been in and around the England set up since 2016, has 30 caps and is a leader at Bath. He might not be good enough to make the final cut but it's pretty easy to understand why Borthwick wants him around the squad in the short term.
