I do wonder about the people running rugby. Have a draw for a cup and find out who we play but they don’t provide dates for the games, even ‘weekend of’ let alone whether it will be home or away. I just don’t get it.

Must nip down the bookies and place a bet on Tigers to win.

And don't forget that the pool includes the two finalists from the last two seasons. Even with 4 teams going through...

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that. Completely unfair and ridiculous.Cagey Tiger wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 5:05 pmAnd don't forget that the pool includes the two finalists from the last two seasons. Even with 4 teams going through...
Re: Next season Champions Cup - 2023/2024
Why on earth can’t the Champions Cup go back to the old league system where there are 4 teams! You’d have thought all the English Clubs in particular need an extra home game.
The attendances have dropped since Covid changed the way things were done but still we stick with a confusing set up!!
Bah humbug!!!
No wonder the game is in trouble!

Ok. It’s official. I no longer give a stuff about European Rugby. What a farce!
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

OK, so, you have the two finalists, and numbers 2 and 3 in the Prem in the same group. One question; cui bono?

The answer is pretty clear!
TBH, if I were thinking about this strategically, I'd put out our first team for the home games and then send someone else to SA or Ireland (or wherever...). Anyone going full tilt in this group with their first team for all games is likely to emerge bruised with knackered players and/or injuries. Prem top 2 higher priority.

Yes indeed, the Premiership has to be the priority, as it clearly is here in France.sapajo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 8:20 amWell putmarkharbtiger wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 10:25 pmThe answer is pretty clear!

I had been hoping that Tigers would be drawn against Toulouse, whose ground is only 35 minutes away, but La Rochelle (5 hours) and Stade Français (at least 8!) have stopped me thinking of going to an away game. I will however, hope to organise a long weekend in Leicestershire to coincide with one or two home games.
