I do wonder about the people running rugby. Have a draw for a cup and find out who we play but they don’t provide dates for the games, even ‘weekend of’ let alone whether it will be home or away. I just don’t get it.

Must nip down the bookies and place a bet on Tigers to win.

That might perk sapajo's interest then.

"When you combine the finishing position of each team in their respective comps (the lower the tougher), the first 3 pools are 31, 31 and 30. Pool 4 is 16."
And don't forget that the pool includes the two finalists from the last two seasons. Even with 4 teams going through...

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that. Completely unfair and ridiculous.

Why on earth can’t the Champions Cup go back to the old league system where there are 4 teams! You’d have thought all the English Clubs in particular need an extra home game.
The attendances have dropped since Covid changed the way things were done but still we stick with a confusing set up!!
Bah humbug!!!
No wonder the game is in trouble!

OK, so, you have the two finalists, and numbers 2 and 3 in the Prem in the same group. One question; cui bono?

The answer is pretty clear!

TBH, if I were thinking about this strategically, I'd put out our first team for the home games and then send someone else to SA or Ireland (or wherever...). Anyone going full tilt in this group with their first team for all games is likely to emerge bruised with knackered players and/or injuries. Prem top 2 higher priority.

Yes indeed, the Premiership has to be the priority, as it clearly is here in France.

I had been hoping that Tigers would be drawn against Toulouse, whose ground is only 35 minutes away, but La Rochelle (5 hours) and Stade Français (at least 8!) have stopped me thinking of going to an away game. I will however, hope to organise a long weekend in Leicestershire to coincide with one or two home games.
