Post by Old Hob »

Gatland has said that if he had known about the mess Welsh rugby was in he wouldn't have taken the job.

"Hawkins was ruled ineligible for Wales following his decision to join Exeter Chiefs after his international debut. Had he been uncapped, like Cardiff's Gloucester-bound centre Max Llewellyn, he could still have played."

Isn't that Gatlands law?

To a certain extent Gatland is reaping what he sowed, but there's a lack of money in the game, it won't just be Welsh players moving abroad for money, even the Irish RFU is strapped for cash. The pro game world wide is under financial pressure, let's hope success in the World Cup will bring some respite from it.
