Harry Potter - The Magician | Leicester Tigers Leaver's Tribute

Post by StanWilks »

Hi, guys!

Long time, no see. Hope you're all well. Commiserations on losing that semi-final against Sale. I was rooting for you all the way.

Nevertheless, as promised, here's a Leaver's Tribute of Harry Potter that I recently made; featuring his greatest tries, assists, kicks and, perhaps most understatedly, his impressive defensive displays: https://youtu.be/xFPu0TGEhnk

It's a shame that he's moving back to Australia, but what an indelible mark he's left behind at Welford Road -- a very difficult void to fill, I'm sure we'll all agree.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it. I'll start working on that Handre Pollard tribute, too. :)

Thanks for your time,

Stan.

Great tribute. Sorry to see him go as I think he has truly been a Tiger. My granddaughter has a training polo shirt issued to Harry as she is a true Harry fan!
Good luck down under and I hope your dreams are realised. :smt041

Met him once after a game in the bar under the big stand, he hadn't been playing as I think he was injured. What a gent!! Happy to talk, mixing with the crowd, just enjoying a beer and being a fan for the afternoon. Great guy, looking forward to seeing him in the wallaby gold.

Thanks very much, RTR! You're far too kind. :)

Ditto. I appreciate the kind words. Hope everything is OK your end.

PS: I think the next tribute WILL be for Pollard. The fans have spoken on Twitter: https://twitter.com/StanWilksRugby/stat ... 3162702848

Thank you, Lutontiger!

Man, I could only hope. I was devastated to hear he's leaving as I'm planning on watching Leicester play at Sandy Park next season, and it would have been a great opportunity to meet him -- as well as many other Tigers!

Thanks!

An immortal Tiger!

He'll never be forgotten as part of the Starting XV that lifted the Premiership once more.

Bless her! She knows where true talent lies!

Cool!

I can easily imagine him - as well as Guy Porter - being very humble and down-to-earth. Maybe it's the relaxed Aussie in him!?

Thank you so much!

He's been on the receiving end of some exquisite tries. My favourite of his has to be his audacious solo effort against Gloucester away, puns et al. Haha.

Thanks Stan. Excellent work as ever. Looking at this you can see why he was selected most weeks. The incoming wingers have a lot to live up to. Good luck in Australia Harry and if it doesn't work out maybe you can come back to Welford Road!
Tigers for the premiership and European Cup. Get behind the team and make some noise!!

Thank you, VOTC! You're too kind, my man.

Totally! He cemented his position in the starting XV, and for very good reason.

Let's hope all goes well for HP!

Thank you, Thunderbirds. Great name, by the way. Unlike most, I love the 2004 live-action movie directed by Johnathon Frakes. ;)

Movies notwithstanding, yeah, it's going to be weird not having a player who became such a stalwart of the starting XV.

Stay tuned for a Handre Pollard tribute, if you're interested. It's being uploaded tonight!
