He's just rehashing what was in the press at the beginning of the week/end of last week.

We may be closer to the full cap as it is.

Also since Borthwick joined and there was the very publically played out contract dispute. Leaks from the Tigers have become a lot fewer, other clubs certainly leak out more rumours than us. Certainly when we got Atkinson & West from Wasps there was very little noise until they were announced. Whatever budget we have we will be reviewing how best to spend it
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Yes, amazing how the massive leaks from the Tigers dried up after certain departures.

We've had a number of significant re-signings this year, and given how quickly they've stepped up to full international honours, I would imagine the bulk of cap space has probably been utilised in this function.

Plus aside from a couple of gaps (Back 3 and back row) I think our squad is already nicely shaped for next season.

Fingers crossed on Fischetti or WGC. Personally, I'd love Fischetti even with the absences through Italy. He's quietly become a really strong international LH and at 25 could keep improving. He's also got the work rate to fit what the defence and kick chase demands of props.

Could see both those happening both players fit those styles of play. Arundell playing half his games indoors could be electric

I'd wait and see who Racing recruit at flyhalf first. Could be a lucky time for Paddy Jackson to find himself available. If that's the case it would work out for Arundell.

The are some faint rumours that Racing were chasing Marcus Smith very hard not only when his contract expires at the end of next season but also offering the cash for an early release for the coming season. Maybe nothing in it but I've heard that from a couple of folk now.

Losing one of the young leading lights would be interesting to see how the RFU handle the overseas selection issue. Borthwick is, according to an article from a while back, in favour of players being able to play overseas and still play for England

Wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t go to the World Cup

Also wouldn't be entirely shocked if he did miss out.
