Theoretically the best available, bar maybe Foley... although Sir Barnes was not at his peak when he last officiated us, IMHO. Let's hope, as always, debatable decisions do not alter the outcome of the game.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 3:32 pm Referee: Wayne Barnes (273 rd Premiership game, 7th semi-final).

Hoping for the fairytale of him being let off a ban and coming off the bench to score the winner……….

So they spoiled the game against Quins on the whim of a ref who went against the TMO for decision that was not clear and obviously a red card!
There is a need to make the game safer but a red is not an appropriate sanction for play that is not intentionally dangerous.
Perhaps 15 minute card for head contact without the player ducking. If the player falls then the sanction should be reduced. If a player actively lowers themselves other than when diving for the try line then the sanction should be reversed. Players have to protect their own heads and rewarding getting hit on your head has to be discouraged and to allow legitimate tackles.

Good on Murely for being clear regarding the tackle from his perspective. I wonder if he would have said the same in the game? He did not milk it at the time though.

Just adopt the southern hemisphere 8min review while they work out a better longer term view IMO.

Really happy his career gets a little extension. I knew that red was a harsh one. Good on Murley for the assist.
Now watch Ashy go and get sent off again!

I'm thinking the reverse. Be a hell of a way to go out!

George Ford has warned Sale not to be complacent!
This is one of the things we’ve hopefully thought about as Sanderson in both games this season said Fordy was instrumental in preparing the team for their overwhelming victories!
Two coaches who know each other well too!

These two tickets are still available if anyone wants to take them off my hands!bendy wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 3:26 pm I've ended up with two spare tickets for Sunday (one adult, one junior, seated next to each other in the East Stand). If they can be of any use to anyone, please shout.
They're face value £60 the pair, but I'll take any sensible offer at this stage. PM me for details.
Cheers
