How do we know this is confirmed, tried to look it up and haven’t seen anything?RagingBull wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 7:44 am Nah Kata is done deal
Looking at leavers he’s more likely imo Saumaki replacement
Shillcock def seems lined up for 10 cover now Gopperth is going.

Does anyone know what Calum's injury is?
A concussion retirement?

I remember Ellis saying after the final last year that he was pretty much playing with bone rubbing on bone. Maybe it's just never healed.

Honestly would make sense with Gopperth going and Pollard at the RWC
Could see it as
FTT for Taufete
Hatherall for Jansen
Atkinson for Burns
Wilkinson for Gopperth
OHC for Nadolo
Kata for Saumaki
Brown for Murimurivalu
Shillcock for Hegarty
A lot of English in non EQP out

As for Wilkinson, from what I've read he's a talented player and rated by many. We'll have a good stable of young 10s (or players capable of playing 10) in Atkinson, Shilcock and Wilkinson playing behind Pollard.

Wilkinson is a good young 10. He played a blinder against Quins last year where he and Quirke made Care and Smith look quite ordinary. He should suit how we want to play though it seems a bit overkill on our part unless we really lack faith in the development 10s.
I thought he'd be off somewhere he'd get regular rugby to be honest. Falcons he'd be straight in contention for a starting role or Chiefs where Skinner is less than impressive and Haydon-Wood is similarly inexperienced.

Kvesic currently a free agent, could be a good pick up to cover Reffell and Wiese being away at the World Cup? Would also be a mentor for Ilione.

Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

That’s the sort of addition I think we should be looking at. Ideal player to fill the gap at 7 or 8 alongside Cracknell. Don’t imagine he’d break the bank either.

Agree, seems in the vein of Ashton, Brown et al. Proven operators that seem unwanted for whatever reason.FrontRowUnionMember wrote: ↑Sun May 07, 2023 2:49 pm That’s the sort of addition I think we should be looking at. Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
