No Watson, Martin or Steward in the 23. Really hope they are not injured.

Fairly sure I’ve seen all 3 in training picturesSoggypitch wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 12:05 pm No Watson, Martin or Steward in the 23. Really hope they are not injured.

I think that is a sensible approach, some rested, strong starting 15 with enough there to do the job and a handy bench to bring on as well. If the first half goes well, I can see Montoya, Pollard and Wiese being pulled shortly after half time.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Fair play to Quins - that is as good a side as they could play. Our bench looks stronger though. This will be a contest if the players are up for it.

I get the feeling Mike Brown will be up for this game!!
Quins back row looks good… till you compare it to ours

Finn Carnduff gets a spot on the bench! Brilliant to see one of this next crop of youngsters get a chance to be involved in the matchday 23.

If a change is made at lock would Carnduff slip in or would Liebenberg move up a row

I'm happy for Carnduff but I also thing that Chessum Jnr (if fit) might have been a better choice considering we might be relying on him next season and he'd slot straight into the second row if we needed him to.CrumblingTerrace wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 12:28 pm Finn Carnduff gets a spot on the bench! Have to assume that Carnduff impressed the coaches enough during the Saints games for them to give him a go. Hope he gets a decent runsam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 7:09 pmI'm happy for Carnduff but I also thing that Chessum Jnr (if fit) might have been a better choice considering we might be relying on him next season and he'd slot straight into the second row if we needed him to.CrumblingTerrace wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 12:28 pm Finn Carnduff gets a spot on the bench! I saw him in the under 20 6N he's got an engine on him. Looks exactly the type of player that will fit in with the squad we have long term. Looked like he was still filling out though. I hope he isn't pushed into lock. Could definitely do a job at 6 for us.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 7:16 pmHave to assume that Carnduff impressed the coaches enough during the Saints games for them to give him a go. I just hope that TMO Claire Hodnett does not try and control the game in the TMO role as she has done on previous occasions. Referee Tempest and Adam Leal need to keep her under control with her red card preferences.
