That's some turnover! I didn't realise that Jake Kerr wasn't at Bristol any longer. There were also a few names on here where I went 'oh God, I'd forgotten about him!'

They only announced Kerr leaving Bristol earlier this week in their main leavers list
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

He's retired and now runs a gym in Leicester that's co-owned with Genge.

Marco Van Staden!

A good mix of players I'm gutted to see play for other clubs, some players who are undoubtedly good but who just didn't click for some reason, and....er....some others.

Also, was always surprised to see Ollie Ashworth drop off the radar. From recollection he was voted players' player of the season in the victorious U18 campaign in a side which involved Steward, Martin, JVP, Costelow etc.

PS Great thread RB.

Van Staden will prove to be a very interesting case in the long term. The indicators are that the medical advice in England was that he wasn't fit to play and wouldn't be any time soon, hence his release. It was then a very quick turnaround between "returning to South Africa to continue his rehabilitation" and suddenly playing again.

Maybe the insurers have more of an appetite for risk over there. :smt017

Marco van Staden - the insurance may have been an issue but it was a financial risk to carry on with a player who was uncertain of a return to play date…..a cut your losses decision by Tiger?

If he injury to Kolisi is as bad as feared, MVS may yet play a large part in RWC

A bit like LCD - he's fine to play over here but things are a bit more stringent in France, hence the extra medical checks etc

Made more interesting by the fact it's head injury related. That's a very brave call to make.
