If we do get the signature of West over the line for next season, I'll put it out there that for the combined first 3 Looseheads's we have the strongest 3 combined. Especially as it's highly unlikely we'll lose any of Cronin, West or Whitcombe to the World Cup.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

I think when you also add Montoya, Dolly and Clare; and Cole, Heyes and Hurd - we probably have the strongest front row stocks in the premiership. 5 of which are home grown.

Telegraph reporting Ant Watson could be on the way to Sarries - would be interesting and means Duncan Taylor, Jackson Wray and Sean Maitland making way for the cap.

Seems odd in a WC year to spend big on a player they’ll miss a fair chunk of the season and lose 3 players they’d have all season but there you go.

I guess he would be a great replacement for Malins though

Losing Taylor, Wray and to a lesser extent an aging Maitland for Watson is an awful trade IMO

I've already resigned to losing him and honestly whilst class we couldn't afford to keep him unless very cheap OHC and Steward potentially away.

Watching Ashton I do really now value having a proper finisher again and OHC is that.

Ha those days when sarries would have just funded another international player and keep the 3.

What wage bill savings are to be made? Is the called for monitoring of their business actually happening and effecting their financial model?

They've already signed Parton from LI as a replacement for Malins which adds some real pace to their back three.

Losing Wray would be a blow unless they are keeping Billy and Tom Willis is actually Wray's replacement.

If Maitland and Taylor are both leaving and Watson is coming in that's a good deal. Sarries have some good young centres and enough experience with Morris and Lozowski to cover the international periods. Taylor is normally a sub and only plays in international windows. Maitland and been a good club option but Watson would add a lot more.

Well they've not announced their leavers yet but so far Malins, de Haas and Robin Hislop are all leaving. Parton, Tom Willis and Gareth Simpson announced as incoming. The rest is speculation.

I'd accepted losing Watson to France, but it'd be a blow if he joins a rival.
