So full list of the Bristol signings & re-signings today:
Re-signings:
Harry Thacker
Steven Luatua
Yann Thomas
Jake Woolmore
Jay Tyack
Max Lahiff
Piers O'Conor
Jake Heenan
Ed Holmes
New Signings:
Sam Wolstenholme
Gabriel Oghre
Oghre is a good player but a starting & bench combo of him and Thacker is very lightweight, it really feels like Bristol don't learn
Since the change in scrum coach Bristol's scrum has looked very good to be fair. Helped under pin their resurgence. That has been with Thacker at hooker.
Bristol play a high intensity game, Oghre and Thacker will suit that perfectly and allow more rotation to keep them both fresh. Good signing and re-signing for Bristol.
After Baxter categorically denied they had any interest… reminds me of when Diamond was up at Sale and he’d say they had no interest then the following week ‘x’ was signed!

Good signing for them, which they needed to make otherwise they’d struggle to put a team out next season.
Apparently the tea cups were flying after the Bath defeat which was the reason why here were a number of changes. Be interesting to see if he sticks to that policy for the rest of the season.

Some of the guys he gave a chance to stood up to be fair. He'd be mad not to give them another go. The 9 and fullback for instance, they don't deserve to be dropped for the next game.
Competition within the squad is a good thing in my opinion. Stops players just going through the motions in training.
Could start to see a pattern where the players go abroad after the world cup for a few years and then look for home contracts a year before the next one starts.
