Was Cam ever academy captain, he was ex Mkt Harborough and Oakham School.

I could regret saying it of course but that Glos bench looks weak.

A game that we should win on (that dreaded) paper. But not a must win as long as we can get a point or 2. I think we can get away with one loss and still get in the playoffs

I was looking at their 12/13 channel, which isn't great (again, I may live to regret !). Atkinson has been good standing in for the injured other Atkinson, but Seabrook is moving to Saints and 13 is the most difficult position to defend in. Get Jasper running into that channel I can see us getting some success.

Bookies have it a close call with Gloucester favourites by a 1 point margin

Traffic on the motorways permitting we are going. Looks to be two pretty evenly matched teams: they will score a few tries so we could have done with Reffell for this one: mind you we need him for the games v Bristol and Quins with their style of play!
Presume we are hoping to stay in it until Martin, Henderson and Cronin etc enter the fray. To be honest I’d take a bonus point loss: can the defence prevent Gloucester getting 4 tries which they have done in a lot of games!
Apparently there have been a few traffic problems on the M42( Crufts?) and M5 around Worcester due to major roadworks?

Mostly happy with our team selection. I wouldn't have changed Martin and Henderson in the same game, but with both of them on the bench you'd like to think we'll be finishing strongly.

Jordan is 23 he was in the academy ahead of Steward and Martin. I think it would have been with Reffell and that class.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 1:47 pmYes. In the team with the likes of Steward, Whitcombe and Martin.

Cam was skipper in 2018 from memory with Sam Eveleigh then captain in 2019. The talent in the 2019 school leavers group was so strong that many were playing in the final win in 2018 though. Steward, JvP, Martin, Costelow, Whitcombe, Glynn all in that 2019 leavers group I believe. Amongst many others of course. It was a pretty incredible year group for the academy.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 1:47 pmYes. In the team with the likes of Steward, Whitcombe and Martin.
Is Sam Eveleigh still playing rugby is anyone aware?
Tigers have had such strength coming through the back row that several have missed out though. Ben Muncaster, Kit Smith and Jordan Tebbat were all cracking players I thought. I'm glad to see Muncaster doing well, have seen him play for Edinburgh several times.
The biggest shock from that 2020 group for me was Ollie Smith not getting a contract though. He looked a fantastic talent at 15.

It annoys me when clubs claim a player is a academy grad despite the fact that player was in another clubs senior academy and even made their debut for that club.
