We could do worse. Maybe even with Deacs and Bemand in tow?

I'd certainly like to see them given a shot.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 2:26 pmWe could do worse. Maybe even with Deacs and Bemand in tow?
Equally, perhaps see him do a similar role to what Lancaster did for Cullen and go and poach Vesty back from Saints?
Vesty - Head Coach (Attack)
Middleton - Assistant Coach (Backs)
Deacon, L - Forwards (Line Out)
Deacon, B - Forwards (Breakdown)
Everard - Defence

I've heard some Saints fans are resigned to the fact Vesty is going to join up with England in the summer when Evans returns to Quins.TTRITH wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 4:30 pmI'd certainly like to see them given a shot.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 2:26 pmWe could do worse. The thought among Saints fans I know is that Vesty is going to England to replace Nick Evans after the end of the seasonTTRITH wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 4:30 pmI'd certainly like to see them given a shot.Darc Tiger wrote: ↑Mon Feb 06, 2023 2:26 pmWe could do worse. So, a few names being mentioned, all speculation, thought I would speculate a few of my own, who wondered who people would chose;
Wigglesworth
McFarland
Townsend
McDonald
Cheika
Erasmus
McCall
Vesty
I’d gor for Erasmus, controversial but brilliant, would be a hell of a ride…….

McCall but the piggy bank at Sarries is way bigger than ours!
Can't see Vesty coming our way other than as head coach. Not sure he is yet ready for that and I think a spell with England as attack coach would be on the cards if England let Evans go. To simply come as attack coach could be sideways move and certainly more risky. Fail at a bigger club and it could damage his prospects. It's one thing failing as head honcho but to come as attack coach for a team he doesn't have overall charge of is potentially risking a future head coach role at a big club or even England.
Sean Edwards after the world cup? I know he has signed up for another 4 years but I would expect a break clause in his contract for a head coach role. If France don't win the world cup then all bets are off as to whether any of the coaches will be retained. He should have been England head coach but he is perhaps too abrasive and England missed their chance by not ditching Jones after the last 6N when the writing was on the wall.
Surely Tigers know who their next head coach is by now. Presumably contractual issues prevent it being announced yet or they don't want to let down the current coaches and have them move on too?

I am not massively surprised. I suspect we had to push to keep them on board for the rest of this season.
Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?
Essentially we had one good season, then the RFU came and stripped everything out!

I suppose a replacement head coach will bring their own team with them

Got to wonder if the timing of the announcement is because we now have a replacement lined up?
