Jamie George & Elliott Daly withdrawn from the squad, Jamie Balmire & Ollie Lawrence called up.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

According to Chris Goy in the daily mail

"Former Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill set to leave England after the Six Nations to take up new role with Montpellier - as Steve Borthwick completes his overhaul of coaching staff"

Ian Peel expected to join them at the end of the season. Which suggests that SB wants a similar balance to when he worked with Hatley where SB was in charge of lineout and contact area, Hatley in charge of the scrum with some natural crossover.

Head coach - SB
Defence coach - Sinfield
Forwards - Peel
Backs - Evans

That's an impressive line-up of young coaches with very good reputations from their work in the Prem.

Question now will be whether or not Aled joins to head up S&C.

It's not unusual for coaches to join just for the world cup period. Wigglesworth worked with Canada last time and Boris did a stint as scrum coach for someone (Romania?).

I wouldn't be surprised if Aled joined England for the camps leading up to the world cup and then came back to Tigers either as the team sets off or after the tournament.

At the moment, Evans is only there for the 6N, so no overlap with Peel (yet 🤔)

Personally I would like WW to go to England.

The rumour amongst saints fans is the Nick Evans is only there until the end of the season when Sam Vesty will take over :smt036

Latest Squad Update from Borthwick:

Slade out with a hip injury

Jamie George rejoins the squad.

Anthony Watson is recalled to the squad. - Thrilled for him as has looked good in patches this season. When on form he is one of the best wingers in England.

8 Tigers now in the squad, with Henderson with Scotland and Reffell with Wales that makes 10 on 6N duty.

Good job we have no game next week…
