Well that was as much fun as something not very fun.
Not much else to say, it were pretty turgid stuff like when Borthers took over and basically stripped away any ambition ball in hand until he got the fundamentals in place.
Problem is, we have/had the fundamentals and can play - that back line was decent enough (scrum half green admittedly) to create a bit here and there but we just booted it up in the air. Every. Single. Time.
You have to mix it up otherwise it’s so predictable and slow.

I don't think Hanro is a great captain, whom ever is Steve's eventual replacement should probably look at changing that

Our own worst enemies again. We had the possession and territory to win that game but blew it through inaccuracy. We looked really short on imagination after Pollard went off. Thought the debutants all stood up pretty well on the positive side of things.

Austin said he'd seen hime holding his ankle, something about twisting but didn't seem to bothered. They then showed a different ruck, so we didn't see a replay.

Yeah think the same. Although there’s hardly loads of people putting their hand up for the captaincy.Jimmy Skitz wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 4:35 pm I don't think Hanro is a great captain, whom ever is Steve's eventual replacement should probably look at changing that

Wiese holding the ankle and levering the shin back against his knee....could be worth a long ban.

Think there was (unfounded IMO) thoughts that Wiese was trying break Waller's ankle byhow he pulled it against his shoulder or something. IMO he was just trying to keep hold of him to help bring him down. Waller definitely didn't think that from his reaction.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

If that's the case then well deserved!

Seen it on Twitter - he was holding his leg by the ankle but there is nothing more than that unless you want to invent something to fit a narrative.
I imagine there was something in it but it’s not clear on the footage I’ve seen
