England squad
Thought it deserved a new topic, though I’m aware some posters don’t care about England.
Forwards wise a couple missing through injury, Rapava Ruskin and Tom Curry, slighted disappointed not to see Pearson in there.
Backs wise no surprises think Quirke and Ford would be in if fully fit.
For the Saints game assuming that whole group will be England we will be missing 7, and they will be without Lawes, Ludlam, Freeman, Mitchell, and Smith

Re: England squad
Finn Smith not being there for the Saints game is a big loss for them
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Re: England squad
Just flashed up that Farrell has been confirmed as captain.
Re: England squad
RFU legal confirm Farrell is exempt from the disciplinary process......

Re: England squad
Overall a decent squad who will hopefully be picked in their correct positions, Rapava Ruskin not being in the squad would be my only real gripe.
Re: England squad
I always feel like Saints are hurt more than Tigers by call ups, even though they have fewer, because they rely on those players so much.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 11:08 am Finn Smith not being there for the Saints game is a big loss for them

Re: England squad
Overall a good squad but some glaring omissions:
Anthony Watson
Ollie Lawrence
Ted Hill
Dave Ribbans
Henry Aurendell

Henry Aurendell
Re: England squad
I don't think he came off injured on Saturday. The scrum was one of the only areas Gloucester had any joy against Leinster, I thought that would have been enough to at least be in the squad. Shedweb seem upset he wasn't selected so I guess he is fine.

Re: England squad
Don’t know if Watson and Arundell are injured? Ribbans for Isiekwe but the later will fix the lineout.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 11:25 am Overall a good squad but some glaring omissions:

I would have taken Lawrence over Marchant but the latter has more positional flexibility. Hill is unlucky but backrow very competitive.
No Vunipola means more options for none jumping flankers.

Re: England squad
He has been injured, but I’m surprised not to see him in there ahead of both Rodd and Vunipola, unless this is is down to only so many able to be changed.

And Sb can only change 5 outside of injuries so slightly limited
Less is more....

Re: England squad
Certainly Watson came off against Sale injured and I don’t think Arundell has played since NovemberTigers86asw wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 11:36 amDon’t know if Watson and Arundell are injured? Re: England squad
paraphrase from SB, RFU legal team have said he can play in the Scotland match. Essential he is listed as banned from the Bristol Match..however as he is now with England he would not be expect to be released from England to play for the Bristol match..which should mean he his banned for the Scotland Match....Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Mon Jan 16, 2023 11:34 amNot sure if this is sarcasm but he was banned in line with what would have been expected.
Or is this another his name is Farrell and he plays for Saracens so he gets special treatment
