Really pleased for Cam Henderson. He's had some dark days and has had to graft to get back to full fitness. Tonight must have been very satisfying for him. I thought he was terrific.

Great performance from every player tonight. Really hoping Cronin's injury isn't as bad as it looked.

Hopefully Cronin just caught a stinger. Whitcombe deserves his gametime though.

Since 1911 only 4 times have Clemont had 40 points scored against them at home...

Tigers are responsible for 2 of the 4 times.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Have been critical for last two weeks, but credit where credit due, that was so much better tonight. Yes, we were far from perfect defensively, but on attack we showed ambition and took our chances very well. Hopefully a win at home next Friday will instil some self confidence and set us up for the stains match a week later! :smt048

To be fair, I’m not sure many defences would have held up with Clermont in those patches where they were breaking tackles, off loading and running riot.

Yes. They were relentless and powerful in their moments. I think we invited them in with some poor kicking from Young's. When JVP came on it was kick to compete. Bet your linseed oil that directive came from RW. I hope so, because that shows his leadership

It was good to see we played some football , need to see more of it . However the defence was woeful at times , but a win away from home is good .

Wigg ‘Obviously we weren’t favorites to win because they gave man of the match to 9 with ten minutes to go.’
Love the needle in that.

Henderson was good off the bench last weekend and deserved his chance last night. He took it with both hands and reminded everyone just how good he is. He was a first team regular before he blew his knee out. I hope he retains his place for the game Vs the Ospreys.

Just seen the result! Great. I certainly didn’t have Tigers as favourites but delighted to be corrected!

Cracking game that, and even better result.

Yeah our defence wasn't great at points but they were excellent as well.

I've been critical of Gopperth, Wigg, and Austin*, but tonight I'll eat humble pie for all three of them.

*He did seem to be enjoying the match, and I thought enjoying seeing Tigers playing well and attacking.

I said before the start of the season I thought by the end of this season he and Chessum would be our first choice starting locks. I'm not sure he'll be an out and out starter but for me he's moved ahead of Snyman and is definitely in the mix with Chessum, Wells and Green for one of those starting jerseys.

Maybe his midweek chat with Wigglesworth helped Austin move on a bit?

Austin likes to see some attacking imagination which we've been sorely lacking. He was a creative player in his day, maybe it was just difficult for him to watch us play with so little attacking innovation. Simmonds magic and the nice set play for Scott's second were a welcome tonic.

It was good to see a more positive approach to the game, much like the Saints & Quins away this season, we were pretty clinical off their errors.
Pollard looked fitter & didn't look exhausted when he came off, he also was quietly effective, Gopperth had his best performance since joining us & the pack really performed.
Reffell has been ridiculously good this season, you really have to hope we do have him contracted up (still no official word from the club).
The proof is how we play next Friday, but now there is less pressure to rush anyone back from injury.
To win is not as important as playing with style!
