If Wasps don’t get fully demoted, I can see London Welsh and Richmond having something to say about it.

Meanwhile, Cov city getting evicted. What on earth is Ashley going to do with the place? Demolish it?
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

Link to Cov being evicted... Ashley possibly trying to throw weight about grumpy at not having taken ownership of the club
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Possibly to make way for new warehousing

Wasps and Worcester relegations have both been upheld by the RFU

Sounds about right. Makes Gengis Khan look benevolent.

Read somewhere that Coventry City have been presented with a new lease to agree to if they want to stay - until May(?) 2023. Before the stadium was sold, they had been told that they could stay under the terms of the old one which ran until the 2030s IIRC. No mention of the relative costs. I smell a money grabbing rat.

If Wasps were not charging Cov enough to play there, remember they were losing money, only a fool would allow that to continue, surely he has a right to renogiate a realistic rate? No?

Not sure if the owners' bankruptcy takes away the rights of those who have a lease.
May depend on the wording.

Re the demotion/relegation issue: does anyone recall the Brizzle debacle when they went bust? They shared the Memorial ground and had a deal that, if either club went bust, the other could buy the ground for a fiver, Well, they did go bust and the footy club invoked the clause.
I don't know what rules were in place then but Brizz didn't go to tier 9 or wherever. But, maybe different times.

Just to clarify, when Bristol went into administration, Bristol Rovers bought their 50% of the Memorial Stadium share for £10,000. They presented the funds within 24 hours - the arrangement cut both ways. But of course they did own the ground so a much simpler situation.
Wasps and Cov remains baffling that it came to this!

& a fair size of that debt was public money, the public purse is short of considerable funds due to failure of 2 Rugby Teams.
