Don't be like that Scott. I have a few pals
who work for an international recruitment agency, they have scoured the globe and they tell me he's the best out there :smt002
I hope they've not left any stone unturned! 🤪

It's one thing letting Borthwick go but letting the likes of Sir Kev and Aled go with him will be a monumental loss to Tigers going forward.

Perhaps events at Sarries are the reason he (seemingly) has never been approached.

He would be an ideal appointment in my view.
Maybe he has an income stream that nobody else can afford.

Whether it's Borthwick or, him Kev & Aled (or any othet coaches) key is we need to make sure the RFU is suitably compensating us to allow us to buy coaches out of contracts if we need to.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Key man in all this for me is Aled, even more than Sinfield. If he can stay around and provide a figurehead it would ease any transition
A chance to condition the England squad into Boks 2019 shape ? He’d relish it.
Proud Welshman working for England, still not 100% convinced

Come on people, you can't get more English than Edwards and Farrell (although I believe Farrell is an Irish name so happy to be corrected if Andy has Irish roots) and they have coached Wales and Ireland respectively. Do I think that Aled wouldn't coach England just because he's a Saffer? Of course not!

Why not Steve Diamond for Tigers, he's available and did well at Sharks and Ok at Worcs.

I think he is a similar character to SB, strong willed etc, bit of a rough diamond, again excuse the pun, who would not stand any nonsense, forward orientated, as per our strength.

In my opinion it's far too late to change England's coach in time for the World Cup. If rumours are confirmed and a change has been made with SB taking over, then it's a very sad day for Tigers if it means we effectively lose his services. We were just getting back and needed a period of stability...not another coaching change.
Yet another example of how dysfunctional the relationship is between the club and international game. And yes I care much more about Tigers than I do England.

A team should survive the removal of a few elements.

And of course the Welsh have 100s of years of rivalry and an inbred dislike of the South Africans just like with the English don’t they.

Totally agree and his isn’t the favoured bid at Worcester
