Re: Formerly of this parish
Sounds very much like he hadn't settled, concussion issues didn't help no doubt. Tigers got him off the wage bill before the cap reduced and he got to go back to the Bulls. Dress it up how the media guys/agents wanted it but I'm guessing that was it.Scott1 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 12:07 pmGreat news! Couldn’t get any insurance for him is what I heard, South Africa have different guidelines. I just hope that when he picks up another concussion, and the way he plays he will, it doesn’t cause long lasting issues.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 12:22 pmSounds very much like he hadn't settled, concussion issues didn't help no doubt. Re: Formerly of this parish
Seems logical as he’s a quality player so why head back to SA rather than get a contract in France where he would double his money. All the best to him.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 12:24 pmCouldn’t get any insurance for him is what I heard, South Africa have different guidelines. Yes must be insurance then. It was just strange how he went from possibly never playing again (rumours I know) when with us to almost immediately playing again as soon as he left. That's how it seemed anyway. But good luck to him, genuine world class player and it was great to see him in a Tigers shirt!

I just wonder if he is putting money before his health, I hope for his sake he is being looked after properly.

You would think so! Insurance or not ,I refuse to believe that he would be thrown back in again if he wasn't 100%tigerburnie wrote: ↑Fri Oct 28, 2022 12:32 pm I just wonder if he is putting money before his health, I hope for his sake he is being looked after properly.

From what I can find on the Ampthill website he certainly has not played in their first team for games in October & November.fentiger wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 9:05 pmObviously impressed at Exeter, then?TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 9:01 pm https://twitter.com/AmpthillRufc/status ... Tom Hardwick signs for Ampthill...
Perhaps he has told Paul Turner that he is too good for them and he desires a return to a higher level club!!

I see Tom Hudson is now there as well. Must've followed Charlie Beckett.

Zach Henry, whose contract with Pau expires at the end of the season, has apparently struck a deal with Stade Français.
