Nothing for Bristol their strength in depth has to be questioned

Very good win for Newcastle. Moroni is some player, but then we knew that.
Thought another ex Tiger in Mulipola did well as post him coming on the Falcons seemed dominant at the scrum.
Bristol need to develop before they're genuine contenders

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

For my money we had three world class backs last season Ford, Moroni and Steward. To lose Ford may be regarded as unfortunate, but to also lose Moroni looked like carelessness. Thank goodness we didn’t also lose Steward.

Slightly off topic but Nadolo was unplayable for much of the first 3 months too

Tbf he was unplayable till his wife had a miscarriage and she nearly died also. He then had a layoff and when he came back his fitness and match sharpness didn't seem quite there (completely understandable). Also given those circumstances his return to home and family is just as understanableDeadlyDunc wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 8:46 amSlightly off topic but Nadolo was unplayable for much of the first 3 months too

If memory serves we got Moroni on the cheap initially, but to have kept him we would have had to spend considerably more, which would have meant possibly losing a Porter or a Kelly, for another Southern Hemisphere cap who is away for large chunks.
I agree he is a class act, and he and Orlando will make a real difference to Newcastle, but again I believe theirs was the only offer on the table so make of that what you will.

Moroni is undoubtedly world class but he probably warrants a salary which would be as much as Cocasigina and Gopperth combined,

If Bristol keep lowering Sincklers price tag I would really like to see him in our setup tbh
