Technically, Alex Moon came off the bench and has been named in an England squad previously so you were right all along!Chobbsy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 9:22 amIt's fine I was only messingRugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 8:20 amYou are right he was it’s Ribbans and Coles in the England squad, my apologies

Cheering on the Tigers in Detroit.
Previously a slower, shorter, less good looking version of Tom Croft.

Newcastle have gone straight in and picked Orlando & Moroni in their match for tomorrow night, will be interesting to see if we do likewise or give them some time off
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Interesting. I don’t think either of them was a permanent fixture in the Pumas starting XV, and an outside back doesn’t face the same physical battering as a hooker.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 3:31 pm Newcastle have gone straight in and picked Orlando & Moroni in their match for tomorrow night, will be interesting to see if we do likewise or give them some time off
I really hope we do give Montoya and Wiese at least another week off.

Perhaps because Falcons are desperate for points.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 3:31 pm Newcastle have gone straight in and picked Orlando & Moroni in their match for tomorrow night, will be interesting to see if we do likewise or give them some time off

Indeed, it highlights the lack of depth of players that a guy who's trained with them for less than week is in their first 15 as the defensive organiserOld Hob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 5:45 pmPerhaps because Falcons are desperate for points.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 3:31 pm Newcastle have gone straight in and picked Orlando & Moroni in their match for tomorrow night, will be interesting to see if we do likewise or give them some time off

If I recall correctly Orlando was the go to 13 in every game bar one for the Pumas and then one he didn't start Moroni did. When they didn't start they came off the bench. De la Fuente being the go to 12, who'll probably be straight back into action as well as Perpignan don't look on great shape.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 4:06 pmInteresting. I trust Borthwick and medical staff will evaluate each player individually and select based on that players needs.

I really like your last sentence Sam. Each player needs to be treated individually, there are some players that if fit want yo be on the pitch with their mates.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 7:53 pmIf I recall correctly Orlando was the go to 13 in every game bar one for the Pumas and then one he didn't start Moroni did. For Argentina the time Orlando and Moroni started together Moroni was 12 and Orlando 13, for Falcons they are the other way around.sam16111986 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 7:53 pmIf I recall correctly Orlando was the go to 13 in every game bar one for the Pumas and then one he didn't start Moroni did. Montoya was heavily strapped up again last weekend, leg & arm.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Previous week in Argentina there was no strapping on his leg at all. So who knows.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 8:26 pm Montoya was heavily strapped up again last weekend, leg & arm.

Personally I’d rest both Montoya and Weise for 2-3 weeks. Even against Quins I’d be tempted to rest them: as 4 of our first 6 games are away let’s see if we can get 2 wins from the next 3 games without them:that would be incredible.
Trouble is with South Africa and Argentina playing in the Autumn international Weise and Montoya could be burnt out by Christmas!

OK some of the names on that team sheet have put a smile on my face.

Teams up. A lot of wrong guesses here. Bench!
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Good strong team, excellent bench. An away win not ruled out. IBWT
