Certainly seems like a slap in the face especially given the match fee reduction as well.

Not really. Times were different when the men went. Rugby had money. Flights werent as expensive as they are at the moment.

That and BA aren’t flying there means the RFU had to make a choice. A flight or staff to support the team all year…

Is it Economy or Premium Economy which is like Business class on Emirates. Could just be journalistic licence. Also with respect the ladies don’t take up the room some of their male colleagues

So do smaller players get economy but larger ones business class- maybe we do it by position rather than gender?

Well no all the men should fly in the same class and the women should fly in the same class. I may be wrong but I think travel costs are at least in part covered by the competition organisers, so I would suggest that rather than this being about gender, it is more about finance. But that isn’t as big a story is it.

Am I right in thinking Australia have done similar with the girls going in 'less style'.

When are train and flight companies going to drop the offensive title of class.

Go on, rationalise the obvious, when you factor in the match fees......RFU say it's because the Roses run at a loss. Remind me how well off the RFU are, how the Roses are a growth market.....

Is it not the case that the men's team generate money the women's team cost money.

Our local team make their own way or pay for their own bus, a top side has a luxury bus laid on, that is is not discrimination.

Class refers to the facilities you are buying not the people buying them - so, certainly not offensive in intent

You can understand the discomfort and indeed the difficulty of fitting in 2m tall blokes in economy.

Otherwise why shell out money you don't need to on a slightly bigger seat with a bit more leg room?

The world seems obsessed with travelling business class or first class when it's about a few hours getting from A to B. In the days of Concorde getting somewhere quicker might have been a consideration but on any flight the economy class segment doesn't land any earlier!

You can bet that if they bag the trophy that they won't be coming home in economy...

It’s not the speed, it’s the comfort. You ever flown economy to NZ? 14 or so hours in a very uncomfortable seat with no sleep..........
