Tough to fit everyone in when fit tbh. Not counting Nadolo as he’s off id suggest
Cronin
Montoya
Cole
Wells
Chessum
Hanro
Reffell
Wiese
Youngs
Pollard
Potter

Watson
Steward
How you pick a bench from Whitcombe, Dolly, Leatigaga, Clare, Taufete, Heyes, green, Snyman, Martin, Cracknell, JVP, Wiggs, Burns, Scott, Cokanasiga, Gopperth, Ashton, Saumaki (and the others I’ve no doubt forgotten) is anyone’s guess.

There aren’t many wingers/players who can do what Nadolo does, it looked like a man playing with under 8s at times yesterday.
I think he starts seasons better than he finishes them and that’s probably due to the pre season conditioning where he’s in his best shape. Similar last year and as the season went on he had less impact and looked gassed earlier in games, and spilled the ball in contact more regularly.
I’d like to see saumaki given a run of games as I still believe he could be very effective, but it’s difficult as who do you leave out?
Just like the loss of other “key” players I’m sure we’ll cope without him and our excellent coaching team will have a plan to overcome it.

Gopperth is an important player, calming influence and I can see him playing when it’s likely to be a close game, where we’re looking for territory to get a foothold.
I was at Caldy yesterday so missed the game and watched when I got back. Cokanasiga looks better the more he plays and Cracknell is just a battering ram, but with the intelligence to go with it. Good options. Just a pleasing performance all round, stayed in the fight when Saints were on the front foot, which we knew would happen at some point. Scrum awesome. Roll on next week.

The impact of the bench was incredible yesterday
We were 21-17 down before the introduction of Wells, Cracknell, Heyes, Youngs, Cockasinga, Van Wyck, Taufete'e and Ashton
The bench turned and won us the game
Their contribution was sublime
These guys allowed Freddie S the opportunity to do what he does best !
I thought Borthwick’s and the coaching teams Game Managememt was outstanding
A great day out

Just watched the highlights. For their 2nd try after Burns kick Dickson can be heard shouting hold or keep coming, so half a dozen forwards stand still with their hands up in the middle of the pitch rather than sidling sideways to make the tackles.
System mistake rather than individual error, sure it won’t happen again.

A word on Oscar nominee Dan Biggar, dosed with Novichok one moment, try saving tackle the next, a remarkable performance on both counts!

He certainly seemed incredulous that it could have been a perfectly legal tackle.BengalTiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:47 am A word on Oscar nominee Dan Biggar, dosed with Novichok one moment, try saving tackle the next, a remarkable performance on both counts!

Pollard looked genuinely excited, from what I could tell, by what he was seeing.

Welsh team mate Reffell that stuffed him good and proper.MCC1964 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:56 amHe certainly seemed incredulous that it could have been a perfectly legal tackle.BengalTiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:47 am A word on Oscar nominee Dan Biggar, dosed with Novichok one moment, try saving tackle the next, a remarkable performance on both counts!
Side note re Biggar, it frustrates me how refs seem to allow him to talk to them the way he does when he isn’t even the skipper.
Think he said to Dickson you can’t slow us down we need to play with Tempo. Yes he can he’s the ref.

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

It was actually after that tackle on Biggar that Reffell first held his shoulder as if it was injured (the same injury he came off as a precaution for in the end)Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 12:07 pmWelsh team mate Reffell that stuffed him good and proper.MCC1964 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:56 amHe certainly seemed incredulous that it could have been a perfectly legal tackle.BengalTiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:47 am A word on Oscar nominee Dan Biggar, dosed with Novichok one moment, try saving tackle the next, a remarkable performance on both counts!

Side note while they replayed the Biggar tackle I'm glad they didn't pick up just previously there was a tackle off the ball...

I am a great admirer of Biggar, he gets away with chomping to the ref in every game he plays in but rarely gets on the wrong side of the ref, fair play to him, poor old Tom Youngs would give away 10 yards for raising an eyebrow.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 12:07 pmWelsh team mate Reffell that stuffed him good and proper.MCC1964 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:56 amHe certainly seemed incredulous that it could have been a perfectly legal tackle.BengalTiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:47 am A word on Oscar nominee Dan Biggar, dosed with Novichok one moment, try saving tackle the next, a remarkable performance on both counts!

For all the stats people out there I think there should be a stat for the most yard stolen at penalties, Biggar would top that chart every season, even if he only played twice!

Apparently he wanted a penalty for a deliberate knock on as opposed to an illegal tackle but that was pretty optimistic. Possibly the reason he kept asking Dickson because Dickson just said it was a legal tackle and that wasn't what Biggar wanted checking.MCC1964 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:56 amHe certainly seemed incredulous that it could have been a perfectly legal tackle.BengalTiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:47 am A word on Oscar nominee Dan Biggar, dosed with Novichok one moment, try saving tackle the next, a remarkable performance on both counts!
It was a near perfect hit by Reffell, really cut Biggar in half.

Interesting because he passed the ball that split second before Reffell hit him so couldn’t have been a knock onsam16111986 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 12:47 pmApparently he wanted a penalty for a deliberate knock on as opposed to an illegal tackle but that was pretty optimistic.
