I thought Wiggs is now a player/coach, so may be retained as a coach?

Although not to fan the flames but Kelly might have been having dinner with the Ford's last night in Oldham

They’ve already got Tuilagi, Van Rensburg and Hill, though not sure if he is already left, so they would have to unload at least one of those. As has been mentioned by many posters we aren’t going to be able to keep all the young talent if he goes so be it and we would appear to have plenty of young centre talent coming through.kpj tiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:01 amKelly going to Sale would be a blow but its also the only way I see us going for Ollie LawrenceRagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 10:23 am Although not to fan the flames but Kelly might have been having dinner with the Ford's last night in Oldham
If it came to a choice between Steward and Kelly, not saying it does, Steward wins every time.

Van Rensburg left in the summer for the Cell C Sharks and Manu is widely rumoured to be leaving for France/Japan. For me they are the most likely destination for Lawrence currentlyRugbygramps wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:06 amThey’ve already got Tuilagi, Van Rensburg and Hill, though not sure if he is already left, so they would have to unload at least one of those. Kelly is a friend of Ford and that may be an attraction but Sale released him and if he did not end up rooming with Steward and getting a chance at Tigers and developed he could be playing Wednesday Bucks University games now rather than for England. If he was not injured he would have started the final and probably toured. He needs a good platform to get back to competing for places and Tigers have provided that for him already. I would be surprised if he moved in the next 3 years until a confirmed England starter.

Kelly is also really good mates with Steward (it's through Steward sharing a house with him at Uni we signed him I think)
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Lawrence is the one linked to replace Manu so far and they have Sam Hill there as well. They might look at PI options if they can't acquire Lawrence. They've tended towards a wrecking ball at 12 in recent years and Kelly doesn't quite offer that. He offers things Manu doesn't but it would require a change in tactics for Sale in attack.

Just noticed in the quotes it refers to seven new deals. Maybe that shouldn't have been in there.....so more to be expected!
