Glynn has been picked at 10 for La Rochelle and there’s a P Tuilagi on the bench for today’s opponents Perpignan.tigerburnie wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:09 am Former Leicester Tigers and Lion Harry Glynn makes his debut for Stade Rochelaise this weekend.

As a young flyhalf he's got an ideal mentor as head coach and a team that saw both of their experienced 10s leave in the summer. They signed replacements but it's a good time to try and make a claim for the shirt.

Another former academy flyhalf Charlie Titcombe starting for Worcester in the PRC tonight. He normally plays for Loughborough University.

Interesting that he's being allowed to thrive at 10 over in France, whereas here he was very much a 12 to Sam Costelow's 10. A shame in hindsight (understandable politics aside!) given the disappointment with Lancaster (very much a 12 playing 10).sam16111986 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 9:46 pmAs a young flyhalf he's got an ideal mentor as head coach and a team that saw both of their experienced 10s leave in the summer. Costelow was (and still is) a certain future international. Not a surprise Glynn had to move to 12 to accommodate him. Shame we couldn't have helped both but such is the way of pro rugby.Hot_Charlie wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 4:05 pmInteresting that he's being allowed to thrive at 10 over in France, whereas here he was very much a 12 to Sam Costelow's 10. Glynn was most likely always going to move to France his family live their and he’s a JIFF player I believe so he’s even more valuable to a French team.

Looks like Marco van Staden playing for the bulls tonight.
Didn’t think he would be back that quickly after he left Tigers at end of last season.

Marco Van Staden back in the Springbok squad
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.
