Phew!
Back to the reduced attendance theme elsewhere on this Forum.

My own thoughts are those prices are unrealistic, elitist and not empathetic with the 'paymaster'.
A trait I fear that is becoming so commonplace.

Even pre-covid, ticket prices were around the £50 mark.

Do you choose the deep end or the shallow

The main recollection from my one and only visit to the Rec was that we lost. The beer was good and that was about the limit of the positives...There are better away fixtures IMHO.

I paid about £25 for a seat to watch Tigers play Clermont in France earlier this year. The locals had access to even cheaper seats than this. Why are our prices so high?

Because the UK is an expensive country.

Supply and demand rules apply and with a low capacity like the Rec supply is restricted.

Tigers have a much larger capacity as do Wasps. Demand is higher for Tigers than Wasps.

Club Home games Total Average Highest Lowest % capacity
Bath 12 167,184 13,932 14,509 12,569 96.0%

You're right, sir. Amazing 96% crowd on average. But I'm still not going to pay that much to sit in the rain...however good the beer is!

Compare the price of a 9 bedroom mansion in France with a 2 bedroom terrace in Slough. That might give you your answer :smt002

I’ve paid the following so far this season:
Saints( 24 Sept) £44
Sarries (2Oct) £22.50
Quins (16 Oct) £45
Left it late for Exeter so didn’t go as only found tickets at £65 and £85: for some reason online I couldn’t get a ticket to stand at £45.
Last season or the ones before Lockdown.
Wasps I usually pay about £20-£25 as I get the ticket early.
Sale between £30-£45
Newcastle £25-£35
Irish ( didn’t get to Brentford ) but at Reading £39-£45
Gloucester didn’t get last season
Worcester £42
Bath has always been expensive but somehow to the credit( or maybe not!)
their attendances are usually 90% full but 100% v us!
I was surprised only 18,000 fans turned out to see us in our first home game as Champions! Worrying times for all clubs.

Me too, I was really pumped for what I expected to be a full crowd.

Just guessing here but maybe the facts that we are in the middle of an economic slump, the country is currently in mourning and it wasn’t the most attractive of opposition who don’t bring many with them , could have had something to do with it.

First time I’ve seen the corporate section in the cat stand completely empty. I was a bit surprised at the attendance. About 2-3k down on what I thought it would be.
