The pitch at Welford Road has taken more than a couple of months to replace and is still bedding in. Not sure that Wasps would have been able to do anything in 9 weeks.......
I seem to recall that there may also have been a concert at the ground as well.
I’m sure I read that Wasps had guaranteed that remedial work would take place after the 7s in time for the soccer season to start. The issue isn’t can anything be done it’s more that no one will do the work unless Wasps pay up front.
According to Wasp’s statement
“In May we informed CCFC that we would not be relaying the pitch. No objection was raised to that course of action then or at any other time.”
There has been no mention of relaying the term that was used was planned maintenance and this is what hasn’t taken place.
I was going to say it’s a little inappropriate to be picking over the bones before the turkey has died, but now the thread on the wasps unoffy has taken a curious turn… it’s looking increasingly terminal.
Seems the wasps owner sold his interest in the new wasps training ground just before bond deadline,
and a planning application for retirement housing has been submitted for part of the site.
The company that owned the New Wasps Training Ground (NWTG Ltd) also changed its name to EP&IC limited around the same time.
What I find really odd is you have to register before you can see any ticket details at all - I don't thin I have ever seen this before. Why would you stop people seeing just basic information like price?

Maybe it is far too early to even consider such matters but I am surprised that there has been no apparrent involvement from the league amd cup authorities. The situation becomes a great deal trickier to deal with if Wasps cease to exist mid season or later after any cup qualification stages have concluded.
Surely the authorities from the league and various cup competitions have done some due dilligence to ensure that Wasps are realistically going to be able to complete the season. If they have, and this has been done in the background, saying so may ease the pressure on the club for the time being. If they have not, it would seem awfully remiss to allow a club to start in competitions that they may not finish, though to take any such action would be the end of the club.
Maybe it is sees as the lesser of the evils to allow them to continue rather than condemn the club or maybe it is simply a matter of it being too late to promote another club and they want to retain a full fixture list.
Until and unless Wasps declare a problem or their creditors force their hand and administrators are appointed the league probably can’t become involved (probably don’t want too either unless their hand is forced)
The issue with the bond repayments hasn’t been forced by the holders yet.
A matter of time or will a rescue package happen in time.
Filing final accounts and closing down is one this but being shut down by the Charity Commission for failing to file accounts when legally required is very poor and not a good look for rugby in general. I hope Wasps survive but they need to find someone to buy them with lots of cash and then to have a big clear out of incompetent staff.
