“””Dear (insert international coaches name). I thought all the Tigers players were utterly rubbish during the summer series. I know it may have looked like they played exceptionally well, and some were “world class”, as evidenced by every single rugby commentator and media source with the exception of Lawrence Dallaglio. Please note that Dallaglio in this case is actually correct - the rest are plots by other prem clubs and anti-Tigers media to weaken our side.

As penance I think you should drop all Tigers and instead ask Lord Borths to develop them by insisting they play every single home game at WR next season. The exception to this is when Borths thinks otherwise because he’s, well, erm Borths and we want to be nice to him so he thinks twice about leaving when the England job comes up.

That said, we are happy for you to have them back for the World Cup. As a peace offering we can offer the entire Saracens and Saints teams just before the prem semi-finals start as they where both annoyingly good last season. You can still borrow Tiger players when Tigers play away games as these are not on our season tickets. However, you cannot have Freddie Burns as he’s been encased in glass with a ‘break glass in emergency during a final’ sign.

We also understand Ford and Genge are now available for international duty for the next 365 days.””

Anything to add?
Great synopsis…may I add “and sorry Welford Road is closed for England business” shortly followed by “Tommy Raffell hates bridges but happy to visit Wales February to March and possibly November if Mr Borthwick and Sir Kev allow”?
Mr Reffell gets travel sickness when crossing bridges or flying so will not be visiting Wales for the next 12 months. He may be available for a trip to France next summer however.

It is interesting how well the Tigers youngsters did at top internetional level. Even the wild card selections didn't look out of their depth.
Says a lot about how our coaching set up is preparing our talented players.

Other clubs seeming talented players perhaps find it harder to adjust to the international game. 80 minutes of full on intensity, mental and physical, at a much higher level than the club rugby they play week in week out. Tigers played like every game mattered from the first game of the season to the last, somthing that had been absent for a long time. Even when injuries forced props to play as flankers the attitude was apparent that they will do the best for the team whatever is asked. Some of the non-Tigers looked as if they only knew how to play their own game and unable (or not willing) to adjust to the role they were asked to perform. Why else was Care hooked in the first half. Seemed to be set on playing his way rather than the way Jones wanted him to play for the team. Sure the onus on an international coach is to accept that they can only ask a player to do the things they are capable of. With experienced international players the coach should know and the question as to why a given player was selected so the blame isn't just with the player.
