That's a clear message about how we're going to play this. Territory, line speed, set piece. Probably our best shot.

Didn't see Wigg starting. Ok with it though. Good selection elsewhere. Shame for JVP, but he should have many more finals to come.

Ok so Wigglesworth starting is a big surprise, one assumes Borthwick has some grand plan!

JvP and Nadolo the unluckiest of those missing out.

That is though a monster of a team In Borthwick we trust
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Why is it team picked for the opposition which will have been explained to him, he still has plenty of years to go.

Agree with Wigglesworth but there aren’t many of that Sarries team he doesn’t know inside out.

Agreed. Borthwick picks horses for courses and JVP seems a mature enough person to understand the decision. It's not like Borthwick isn't backing him it's just that he's looking for control first.

Concerned we're a bit short on carrying capabilities in the backs. A lot is going to rest on the shoulders of Porter. Suspect we'll be going to the air a lot.

Exactly, hence my grand plan comments.

Huge levels of experience throughout the 23.

Aerial attack and close to the rucks another reason for WW starting, Lenny on with 30 minutes to go against tired legs

Just my opinion. I think JVP is better than WW.

IBWT though....rest of the team is great. Again IMO.

Glad chessum is in there as we can compete with their line out! I’m shocked there’s no nadolo thought he would be a shoe in for the 23 shirt. I’m not sure about ww though I guess it shows our intentions and it probably is our best bet of winning. Also glad he went with Ashton on the wing as opposed to burns at full back. More scared because I think Sarries are better opposition than Saints, less scared because if Tigers don't win, at least they don't don't win to Saints!
I'm probably in a small minority here but would much rather lose to Saints, I despise Sarries that much. I know that's odd!
The rivalries over the years with Bath, Sarries, and Wasps have all been typified by good natured joshing and chuckling at Dallaglio's one-eyed commentary, and obviously the rivalry with Saints is equally good natured. It's just that incident really soured my view of the team. Stupid I know, and whilst I'm aware of it, it is difficult to shake.

Of course, now we have defeated Saints this season, I will passionately loathe not beating Sarries, if such an unfortunate eventuality materialises. My actual view of rivalries being "who we are playing next must lose!".
