I know he has been named in the Puma’s squad but wouldn’t surprise me to see him have some remedial surgery after the game on Saturday

Does that mean you’re taking a pledge to not mention the officials once in the post-game thread?! Go on - you can do itPellsey wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 11:38 amAgreed. No excuses then! Anybody getting fed up with the media love-in with Sarries? Apparently they only have to turn up on Saturday, cheating past that still holds, ignored.

Am sure that Steve Borthwick will prefer the focus on them up to the final to allow him and the team to prepare without unnecessary distractions.

Just think how bad "Fan Boy" will be on BT...., the whitewashing of previous issues for both sides is an embarrassment.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Just listened to the radio 5 rugby pod cast, zygote & Chris Jones(?) virtually praising Sorries saying it’s their match & Tigers not really got a chance, in fact they talked about the sorries quins game in great depth as with the URC semi’s hardly a mention of our semi against saints except to say saints had a chance to win & threw it away. They’re nearly as bad as Dayglo

Yeah unfortunately it is to be expected given who hosts that podcast, maybe Goody and Big Jim will be more balanced on The Rugby Pod.Pmvl wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 11:43 am Just listened to the radio 5 rugby pod cast, zygote & Chris Jones(?) virtually praising Sorries saying it’s their match & Tigers not really got a chance, in fact they talked about the sorries quins game in great depth as with the URC semi’s hardly a mention of our semi against saints except to say saints had a chance to win & threw it away. They must be the greatest side. After all they beat
Quins who were formerly the greatest side. The fact they ended a distant 3rd in the league is a mere irrelevance.
Do we really believe our opponents are within the cap? Or are they still benefitting from their previous circumventing the cap? All those payments that were made up front... who knows?

So those claiming Whitewash just what is it you want doing extra. For Sarries they were caught fined, had a points deduction spent a year in the championship and lost some major sponsors. This is what was imposed on them by the governing body, they have now quietly had a successful season, it’s their fans who are crowing, an unpleasant lot at the best of times. What more is it you want, people were saying trophies should be taken back, names removed from winners lists etc, but was that really ever going to happen.Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 12:21 pmNot equivalent, but those in Glasshouses etc..., it really quite hard now to fling the (deserved) proverbial at the "Humble" lot without looking like a hypocrite.jgriffin wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 11:41 amStill om the false equivalence horse then?Wayne Richardson Fan Club wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 11:36 am

For Tigers they discovered a historic issue and reported it. The governing body came in and agreed some transgressions had taken place, it was no where near as bad as Sarries, but fines were imposed. There was no appeal and the fines were accepted. The club put out regular statements informing the press and fans what was going on. The issue has now been dealt with.
WHAT MORE DO PEOPLE WANT?? An announcement on the big screen every week saying how sorry the club was, how about getting rid of the shirt sponsors and just having WE’VE BEEN VERY NAUGHTY on the front. It’s been dealt with move on.
I don’t know for certain but I think it’s the same posters still going on about this that are posting about no getting to say a proper goodbye to players, when they wouldn’t know who 90% of them are if they saw them in a shop.

Exactly who knows, who knows anything about the finances at any club. Wouldn’t it stand to reason that if a club has been caught doing something wrong they would be under extra scrutinymol2 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 12:42 pm They must be the greatest side. After all they beat

Quite happy for the media to focus on Sarries and to big them up.
To be fair I have them as favourites too.
Will be all the sweeter if our boys can pull it off.
