Great win for the tigers today dismantling Bristol, meanwhile Leinsters cubs have gone down to South Africa and gone toe to toe with South Africa’s top 2 teams and brought home 2 invaluable losing bonus points assuring our top of the table status for the knock out stages. Really feel the game at welford road could be the game of the season in Europe! Rock on Saturday!!!

Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Must be nice to have the luxury of being to rest the first team for a weekTheLeinsterlad wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 7:36 pm Great win for the tigers today dismantling Bristol, meanwhile Leinsters cubs have gone down to South Africa and gone toe to toe with South Africa’s top 2 teams and brought home 2 invaluable losing bonus points assuring our top of the table status for the knock out stages. In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

I honestly don’t think the players benefit from this as much as what is generally thought, most would rather be playing every week unless they’ve been particularly flogged for a period of time. I think ours will have the better balance of rest/match sharpness come Saturday.loretta wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:07 pmMust be nice to have the luxury of being to rest the first team for a weekTheLeinsterlad wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 7:36 pm Great win for the tigers today dismantling Bristol, meanwhile Leinsters cubs have gone down to South Africa and gone toe to toe with South Africa’s top 2 teams and brought home 2 invaluable losing bonus points assuring our top of the table status for the knock out stages. Add to the fact their squad is split between some in South Africa and some in Ireland I don't think that's ideal for themnicmattyg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 9:38 pmI honestly don’t think the players benefit from this as much as what is generally thought, most would rather be playing every week unless they’ve been particularly flogged for a period of time. IMO it has to be. A settled side is needed for consistency in the run in. Leinster is the best test SB can have hoped for. It will certainly help to map out the forthcoming season or two in his "cunning plan"

Chessum will be available so will be in the 23 I would think.

I imagine he will slot in on the bench in place of Robinson, otherwise unchanged side

Chessum starts for me at lock
Would be tempted to go
1. Genge, 2. Montoya, 3. Heyes
4. Chessum, 5. Snyman
6. Liebenberg, 7. Reffell, 8. Wiese
9. Youngs, 10. Ford
12. Scott, 13. Moroni
11. Ashton, 14. Potter, 15. Steward
16. Clare, 17. Whitcombe, 18. Cole
19. Wells, 20. Jansen
21. JVP, 22. Burns, 23. Porter

Same for me except I would start with Cole with Heyes on the bench.

Cole definitely to start for me too. Also I think Wells is our best lock so would definitely have him starting too. I really like the Wells/Snyman combo but Wells/Chessum with Snyman on the bench would work nicely too

Heyes has started every champ cup game so far I just don't see a reason to bench him for this one.
