Telegraph reporting we have now signed Watson.
They say announcement expected next week and that it is a ‘short term deal’.

The Telegraph are reporting we have signed Watson. Supposedly only a short term deal for next season, though the article is behind a paywall.

Seasons deal very sensible given his injury history.

The article also says Nadolo is off at the end of the season! Reckon a season for Watson gives us another year developing Saumaki :smt023

Likely Nadolo back to Australia as previously rumoured, either Queensland or The Drura

I wonder if the signing of Watson might, in turn, bring an end to Kini's time here?

Seasons deal very sensible given his injury history.
That gets him to the next WC, ready for a potential "Pension" move after it.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

Maybe it’s a one year deal with a view to a new improved contract for the year after , possibly a reduced one year then bumped up after that for the salary cap purposes ?

Article says: "wing Nemani Nadolo also expected to depart Welford Road." whilst (highly?) likely they're not saying he is confirmed (but probably will tomorrow :smt002 :smt023 ).
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

We are reaching the stage in the season where despite the clubs and Borthwicks best attempts leaks/reports will start appearing from a number of different sources
