Home side should have walked that. When you have a side based around a few very highly paid players, it seems beyond insane not to play them from the start in your seasons biggest game
Re: Other Easter Weekend Games - 15th to 17th April 2022
Did anyone else feel like there was quite a lot of play acting in the Bristol - Sale game? A lot of players falling down holding there head or neck on both teams. Could of just been me but I hope diving doesn’t start coming into the game to try and get players sent off.

That Bris/Sale match was very silly.

Bristol / Sale was a good match to watch for the neutral.

But why on earth does Ellis want to go there?

He said personal circumstances have meant he wants to move to Bristol. Unfortunately family does sometimes come first.
Used to run around with an 11, 14 or 15 on my back.

Sort of tongue in cheek comment. I know the published reasons. But it’s not exactly that far from Leicester to Bristol. Also, he’s gone from a raw talent to a top class international with us. Also, Sinckler is rapidly going in the opposite direction. Also, Bristol are absolutely rubbish.

Let's not pretend that cheers haven't gone up from the faithful at Welford Rd in reaction to the opposition getting a card (or from our travelling contingent when Hartley got one at Twickers)...OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:48 pmYepRugbygramps wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:46 pmFootball crowdOakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:46 pm
Yep agreed. Agree with Ugo that 20,000 Bristol fans cheering a red card is pretty poor.. especially for a young lad who clearly didn’t mean it and was obviously upset at what had happened
No, not that one!
Remember, whatever you do to the smallest of the backs you do to his prop, and you can't avoid the rucks and mauls forever...
I know you don't like it when I boo him but how else will he know he's wrong?

Re: Other Easter Weekend Games - 15th to 17th April 2022
Saying you are neutral about Sale and Bristol is an oxymoron. I find it impossible to be neutral about either of them, even when playing each other.

You are of course correct but this did feel very football like.Crofty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:13 pmLet's not pretend that cheers haven't gone up from the faithful at Welford Rd in reaction to the opposition getting a card (or from our travelling contingent when Hartley got one at Twickers)...
Agree totally about Ellis, but he has his reasons for wanting to be back in Bristol.
I bet Lam is glad he’s signed an 8 year or whatever length contract extension, because it’s all gone very Pete Tong

Aside from our game today what game is everyone most looking forward to? For me it is Quins - Montpellier.

Probably just that one. La Rochelle tie is all over, but the other 2 could be absolute crackers with the aggregate scores so close.
I’m going to go with tie wins for Montpellier, Munster and Toulouse

Montpellier made 13 changes from last week, Pollard at 12 Mercer on the bench, 1 eye on their game against Bordeaux next week

What a start! Great line, poor defence though

A few of the Montpellier backs don’t fancy tackling today by the looks of it
