Reffell for me. Best performance I’ve seen from him in a Tigers shirt. Salvi esque with complete mastery at the breakdown. Chessum not far behind.
Agree. Reffell was immense today.

Can’t wait to hear Dalaglio eating sick as he is forced to discuss us dismantling a top French team.. not sure I will be able to cope!

I thought Tigers would win, but by that margin and with a man short was impressive. Can’t wait for next Saturday when I’ll be on the terrace! And to the supporters in Clermont, enjoy the post match festivities 🍷

In my mind thats one of the great Tigers European performances. Let’s remember this is French Giants Clermont we’ve comfortably beaten on their home turf! Some outstanding moments but our defence, a brilliant pack display and good old fashion Tigers grit won that. :smt038

Interesting - if it was not foul play then it is not red card, according to World Rugby guidance. See link:

https://resources.world.rugby/worldrugb ... _EN_v1.pdf

Was there foul play? No - play on.

The only way the ref can legitimately penalise Porter at all there is if he thinks he has committed foul play. Whether it was foul play or not is a matter of opinion, mine being that it was not foul play - however, I can see the other side of the argument and the Clermont player being behind the ball does count against Porter.

Well done SB et al and the entire 23..

And incredible result.. Clermont have won 85% of their matches at home over a massive period so that puts this into perspective!
Great summary OT... when was the last time we won down there?!
2006!

Not taking anything away from Tigers, but Clermont are only a mid-table team this season...

Has to be up there with one of our best performances away from home in Europe, apart from the two finals. This and 2007 sun away at Munster. Both classic Tiger performances.
